On Time Perception

It is not the fact that the “conception” of time as cyclical is a very ancient one, if not the most accepted one among ancient cultures (not that they had an impositive body of “world” academics drawing them accepted theories); neither the fact that, in a kind of “post-modernist” (no limits) vision of reality, Cyclical time is “one more” concept / conception / theory, freely participating among others in the realm of theories. But it is about the reality (realitas) that despite any prevailing “concept” or conception of time, this actually happens and it is lived, at the most fundamental, vital and thus universal level, in the same way since ……………………………………..

At it most fundamental, vital and thus universal level. For indeed, the most fundamental thing in any organism contains elements of the previous and biggest form, from which it derives and comes; and upon which it depends. The most universal is the more general and upon which the particular elements depend.

Linear time is obviously perceivable, most of all by The View. Being mostly guided by the view and the obvious, namely, forming an existential cosmic vision of the “world”, life and All based on such perception, may indeed accentuate a linear view of time. Thus, logic and the apparatus of knowledge (interpretations too) about everything adopts a linear vision; and therefore feelings and the way of experiencing existence and the world adapt to such perception. The constructs and constructions (societies, cities, etc.), as product of such a vision and state of being, will bare and sustain such direction, and by nature will develop a protective mechanism ergo self-preservation mechanism: repelling and attacking any element which threatens (contradictions are threats) to destroy the core elements of the entire organism / apparatus, etc.

Any, any, any creation develops similar fundamental mechanism because the previous, and the more general, formation / creation / conception from which it derives and upon which it depends, has it at its core (unless it is a product of a different formation). Regardless of any form it is able to prevail. The fact that something exists and has prevailed, is not a criterion of superiority or higher efficiency. Because the precedent is not always a sign of less efficiency or obsolescence; many times it is the subsistence and the life-line of the recent formation (as economy on this planet cannot exist without the existence of humans).

Linear conception of time is one element; a short section of the cyclical nature of time; of things. Something belonging to and inserted in; not above, neither next to, nor under.

Cyclical time Something which reaches, contains and grasps the more fundamental, and therefore, more universal things (realities). Thus, the capacity to perceive and conceive more complex realities in which humans are inscribed and to which they subscribed. The ability to see and envision further in time: past, and by condition, ahead. By implication then, preserving humans. For then, their constructs and constructions would align not ith an older, but a more general and more universal order of things in which humans are inscribed and exist.

VERSUS

There is no such thing as: Cyclical “Vs” Linear. The “versus” encrusting between both words (which implies conflict), ultimately reflects an already commanding vision and conception of such a view; as well as a way of seeing, and ultimately of feeling time: a Linear one.

The Versus implies a conflict: something against something. Competitiveness, at certain level too; but this one, in this instance, is subservient to conflict. Very linear indeed. Linearity which is already imprinted in the intellectual mentality of many well-educated professionals of 2025. Perhaps “intellectuals” of the modern times ignore the origin and usage of the term; and it so appears, as the linear clash of two opposing beasts or gladiators is what went to form the intellectual approach of developed minds of our times. Including that stupid tendency to “debunk” this and “debunk” that. The low competitiveness of the slave: the competitiveness without choice; the one which needs to destroy the opposing side in a versus situation imposed upon him.

The Linear perspective articulates, underlays, provides a conceptual platform and way to perceive the accumulative vision of things. Providing, indeed, a fair approximation of the accumulative phase of reality. As accumulation is indeed a phenomenon which occurs in life-organism as well as in things pertaining reality. A phase of the becoming of things. And which perhaps, it is the nearest to something guided by view.

But the “Versus” applied to < time > and << becoming >> is a cage which not only brings a limiting perception of reality, but ultimately at an existential and, what is more important, < Vital > level, suffering and anguish. As well as how many of you have already deduced, a proclivity to put things in visions of conflict. Not that it produces it.

They are not opposing each other, neither in a parallel position competing on an imaginary plane of theories. They have their own force in < Realitas>, whether anyone wants to accept it / validate it / see it, or not.
